I have been asked by a few people if they can't purchase their tickets by August 1st, does that mean they cannot go to the reunion. YES you can still go to the reunion! We had to put a deadline date in order to cure the procrastinators and so we could get a good head count! We want everyone to come! Please continue to send in your payments!

To anyone planning on coming to tonight. I will be in the parking lot at 7:00 pm at Steve's place to pick up money from anybody who shows. Steve was unable to be there tonight for us to use his shop. So I guess we won't have a meeting but I need the gas raffle ticket money because the drawing is the 12th and the boston butt orders & money since we are supposed to order them on Thursday. Thanks! Sorry Shari I had to work until closing which made it impossible to be there... maybe if the dates and times are done by majority there will be more efforts made by our fellow classmates.... there is only a handful of people involved which makes it hard on the others to be a part of it all. Although I will NOT be attending the reunion I will do all I can to help out and assist IF NEEDED.

Deana If everything was done my majority the only thing that would get done is a lot of arguments about time and dates, The Time and Date for the car wash has been up on the website for at least 1 month along with the date for purchasing tickets to the reunion and there are still class members that have yet to buy them. The hand full of members that are participating are working there --- off and every member of the 88class is welcome to help at any given time weather it be for the largest detail or the smallest. So just because there is a handfull involved it does not make it difficult for you or anyone to help. Weather it be by sending in your money or washing a car. It all goes to help have a wonderful weekend.

Well said Alton! Hats off to Shellie and Shari for being go getters with Steve right there behind them! I totally forgot all about the car wash...and I am sorry! I know it is frustrating! I didn't do well selling tickets or butts either...however, I have bought my ticket and look forward to seeing those who have also bought theirs. I know with summer many have been busy! Secondly I would like to say Thank You to everyone that is putting this reunion together I know it is alot of work and if I was there I would be more than happy to help with anything that needs to be done. But I am 3.5 hours a way and it is hard to get down when you own a business,kids in sports,and vacations. Anyway Thank You All for you hard work!!!!

Lastly I can not wait to see everyone!! Its going to be alot of fun meeting everyones families...

Alton in no way was I trying to say that the work that has been done has not been great... I was saying that more people need to be involved it is EVERYONES reunion and EVERYONE should have a vote not a say... no arguments that way...

As I stated I am NOT going to the reunion but I am willing to help when I can so that it is a success... I had to work Saturday or I would have been there.

everyone started letting the reunion take back seat for a reason I mean when I first got on here you had like 2 pages of messages on the forum to read now you are lucky if there is 1 in a week.

I do hope that everything is a success but in the same breath we have to realize that we all have families now and are busy with sports, we all have jobs, and we all have had busy schedules for the last 20 years NOW we have a reunion EVERYONE WANTS TO GO BUT NOT MANY HAVE THE TIME TO HELP..

HATS OFF AND PROPS TO ALL THOSE THAT CAN AFFORD TO TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE THE DINWIDDIE CLASS OF 88 REUNION A SUCCESS FOR ALL THOSE TO BUSY OR TO FAR AWAY TO HELP.

Thanks to everyone for whatever help you have given so far. Any help is better than none! I didn't mean to start an argument. I do have to say all of this has been overwhelming for me. Especially this weekend. My husband has been cooking 68 pork butts since yesterday afternoon non-stop. Half of them are ready now and still hot. The other half will be done, hopefully, shortly. If you can get come and get your order early, please call me asap 895-3738. We are running out of room. We are running on fumes ourselves, we only got to sleep last night from 3am to 6am.
